1) The Eternal
Word - John
1:1-5, Genesis
1:1-31, (See Genesis
1:26-27 for in "OUR" image)
a) John
1:1a - In the Beginning, Jesus Christ is
the Word - Through
Gods word, that is through Jesus Christ that he came to reveal Gods
heart, mind, works and complete attributes to us as
Jesus Christ has said "He that hath seen Me hath
seen the Father"
(John 14:9).
Now according to The Bible Exposition Commentary (NT) a "WORD" is
composed of letters, and Jesus Christ being Alpha and Omega (Revelations
1:11), to which is the beginning and the end
of the Greek Alphabet. Now Jesus Christ is Gods last words to mankind, since he
is the Omega, the end. So in this Jesus Christ is eternal and was not created
since he existed before creation. Now Jesus Christ has sent the disciples and
Apostle Paul out to give us instructions on how to living a Holy Christian Life
that is pleasing to Jesus Christ (Eph 1:4,
5:27, 1Pe 1:15-16), So that we can be
presented as the Bride of Christ without Blemish (Eph
5:27, 1Pe 1:19).
b) John 1:1b and
1:2 - Jesus
Christ was with God - The term that
John uses, expresses his friendship or intimacy with God, this is the
meaning of "Was With God" for Jesus Christ was
partaker of God's Divine Glory before the creation of the world (John
17:5, 1:18). So therefore Jesus Christ was
united with God in the Beginning.
c) John 1:1c - Jesus
Christ was God - In this sense of
John's meaning that Jesus Christ is eternal as God is eternal, and he is equal
to God
with the same glory and in power, and works they are
equal with all authority. For God and Jesus Christ has all the same attributes,
in mind, in heart and in spirit. For the son is always equal to the Father in
all things including their personality.
As Barnes Commentary Notes also Puts it; John 1:1
that the second person may
be called by the
same name; has
the same attributes;performs
the same works;
and is entitled to the same honors
with the first,
and that therefore he is
"the same in substance,
and equal in power and glory,"
with God.
To put it into human terms is that my son Joshua is
equal to me, his dad, in personality, heart and mind, in all attributes even
with the same temperament. My son as learned from me as Jesus Christ has
learned from his Father (God) (John 8:28).
d) John
1:3 - All
things made through Jesus Christ - As
we see here that Jesus Christ and God are one as stated in the previous verses,
so in that, Jesus Christ being the word, and God who
spoke the word all things were created through Jesus Christ and for him and
nothing was made without him (Colossians
1:16-17).
e) John 1:4 - Jesus
Christ The Light and Life of the world -
As we know that he is the word and all things were made through him
making Jesus Christ the life of the world, but not
just that but he also gave man life through Jesus being crucified on the cross.
He gave mankind in the beginning life by breathing his spirit into them and now
he gives life by Baptizing them with the Holy Spirit that gave mankind new life
and restored to God through Jesus Christ. So with that mankind is the light of
Christ since it is Christ that shines through them to the world, that bears
witness regarding Jesus Christ.
f) John
1:5 - The
Darkness did not understand the Light -
People will either love the light, that is Jesus Christ or they will love the
darkness, that is satan, which is love their own
sins, to make their selves their own gods, thinking they control their own lives
and destines when satan actually controls them and keeps them from seeing Gods
Holy Truths. So then those that love the darkness does not understand the light
of Christ that shines through Christ servants, so instead most people on earth
will hate Jesus Christ servants, they hate that light that shines through them,
through the darkness of this wicked world!

Witness: The True Light - John

2) The Word
Becomes Flesh - John
1:14-18 -
3) A
Voice in the wilderness - John
1:19-28 - (Matthew
3:1-12; Mark
1:1-8; Luke
3:1-20) -
- To

a) John 1:19 - John
a Witness of Jesus Christ - John
himself who has seen and Baptized our Lord Jesus Christ bears his witness of
Jesus
Christ and was personally taught by Jesus. Many of
Jews, the people and republicans came to John, to repent and be baptized as a
symbol of that sincere repentance, but the religious leaders who in their own
hypocrisy thought that they were not sinners. that they were good people and
pleasing to God. They counted on their own self made righteousness instead of
walking in humility and see
their true wicked conditions of them selves.
b) John
1:20-24 - Who
is John? - Now the religious leaders
were sent by their leaders to ask John who is he? John himself denied he
was the Christ, or Elijah and even denied being a
prophet. Instead he said he is the voice crying in the wilderness, a voice he
claimed who he was. Now he also stated what he was doing, that is to warn
people they must repent, and be ready for the coming of the Lord, that is the
Messiah Jesus Christ.
c) John 1:25-26a - By
What Authority does John Baptize with? -
Now those that was sent from the Pharisees were questioning John's
authority to find out what right does John have to be
baptizing people. Of course just like John, our authority does not come from
Man, but comes from God in Jesus Christ instead and
it is God who has given the authority to John to which John was raised up for
this day, to prepare the way for Jesus Christ. Now
lets notice that John did not answer their question at all except to tell them
that he baptizes with water (For repentance of sins) and of the one they do not
know that is among them.
d) John
1:26b-27 - John
tells of the coming Messiah - John
lets the Pharisees know of the coming Messiah that is among them, here
now, that they do not know, their hearts are far from
God, to which their hearts are cold that has not listened to God. John lets
them
also know that after his own death, John becomes less
and Jesus becomes more and is more important than John that John is not so much
as worthy to untie Jesus shoes, little lone anything else.
e) John 1:28 - Where
John Baptized at - John himself were
baptizing people in the southern part of Israel, at the river coming off of the
Salt Sea, the Northern Part to which is about 2 miles
or so from Jericho and and maybe about 4 to 6 miles or so from Bethlehem.
Maybe at the Jordon River.
4) Behold the
Lamb of God - John
1:29-34 - (Matthew
3:13-17; Mark
1:9-11; Luke
3:21-22) - To
Top^
a) John 1:29-31 - John
Professes Jesus as The Messiah - The
following day after the Priest and Levities questioned him of who he was
Jesus Christ our Lord while coming towards John, John
professed in public that Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah, that is the
"Lamb of God" that comes to take away the sin of the
world, meaning to save people from their bondages of sins, from satan, from
themselves and from Gods wrath and judgments. In this John also professes that
Jesus Christ being here long before him, before the creation of the world, that
has come after him to spread the good news to Israel.
b) John 1:32 - The
Testimony of John - John himself has
seen the Holy Spirit came down from heaven and then remained on Jesus Christ,
being the power of God, as proof of Jesus is who he
and the scriptures says he is.
c) John 1:33-34 - God
reveals to John Jesus Christ - Now God
who has called John to go and baptize with water has revealed to John who
the promised Messiah was at the time of John seeing
the Holy Spirit coming down on Jesus Christ. So John knew at that time Jesus
Christ is the Son of God because of God telling John this.
