of Scripture -
Our Lord Jesus
Christ Tells
John;
Revelation
2:12 "And
to the angel of
the church in
Pergamum write,
'These things
says He who has
the sharp
two-edged sword:
13 "I know your
works, and where
you dwell,
where Satan's
throne is. And
you hold fast to
My name, and did
not deny My
faith even in
the days in
which
Antipas was My
faithful martyr,
who was killed
among you, where
Satan dwells. 14
But I have a few
things
against you,
because you have
there those who
hold the
doctrine of
Balaam, who
taught Balak to
put a
stumbling block
before the
children of
Israel, to eat
things
sacrificed to
idols, and to
commit sexual
immorality.
15 Thus you also
have those who
hold the
doctrine of the
Nicolaitans,
which thing I
hate. 16 Repent,
or else
I will come to
you quickly and
will fight
against them
with the sword
of My mouth.
17 "He who has
an ear, let him
hear what the
Spirit says to
the churches. To
him who
overcomes I will
give
some of the
hidden manna to
eat. And I will
give him a white
stone, and on
the stone a new
name written
which no one
knows except him
who receives
it."'
2) The
Compromising
Church of
Pergamum
a) Approval
-
1) They
Kept the Faith -
There is one
thing that Jesus
Christ is
pleased with
these people
with and that
is even though
Jesus Christ
Faithful servant
Antipas was
Martyred they
still kept their
Faith in Jesus
Christ and did
not run and
scatter through
out the regions
because of it.
b) Jesus
Christ Accuses
Them -
1) They
Hold to False
Doctrines of
Balaam -
First Off the
name Balaam
means "Lord of
the People".
Since satan
couldn't destroy
their Faith in
Jesus Christ,
satan has
brought in some
false doctrines
into
their church to
try and sway
them in a subtle
way from the
Doctrines of
Jesus Christ.
The Jesus Christ
that Apostle
Paul has taught
us about. So
now what is this
false doctrine
of Balaam?
Now Balaam was a
true Prophet (Numbers
22
to
25)
who was hired by
Balak to curse
Israel. God
wouldn't allow
that to happen,
so it was turned
around into
blessing Israel
instead. The
False Doctrine
of Balak through
Balaam's efforts
was to bring in
paganism into
the Church of
Pergamum. Who
has
made friends
with those that
brought these
heresies, and
eating meat that
were sacrificed
to the pagan
idols to which
became a
stumbling block
to the Jews.
This as well
involved many
pagan practices
and doctrines of
their false
religions. And
those false
doctrines also
involved a great
deal of sexual
immorality as
well.
BEWARE for these
believers
thought there
was nothing
wrong with being
friendly with
people of
other religions
and practices
that is NOT of
God and against
Jesus Christ.
By being
friendly to
other
religions,
brings their
evil doctrines
and practices
into the
Christian
Churches to
which ANGERS
JESUS CHRIST,
Even Paul told
us NOT to be
equally yoked
with
Non-Believers
for very good
reasons.
2) They
Hold to the
False Doctrines
of the
Nicolaitans -
First off the
name Nicolaitans
means "To
Rule the
People". So
what is the
heresy doctrine
of the
Nicolaitans?
These are
professing
Christians
who practice a
false doctrine
instead of the
doctrines of
Jesus Christ.
Now the
Nicolaitans had
similar
doctrines of the
Balaam that
taught Balak
with a twist
towards parts of
Gnostics.
And my friend
the Nicolaitans
seems very
similar to the
Catholic church
and many of
their pagan and
antichrist
practices such
as worshiping
and praying to a
statue of Mary
and so many
doctrines of
heresy.
The pope has a
habit of ruling
over the people
just like the
Nicolaitans and
Balak did.
Christians must
beware of pagan
festivals and
such that
Christians don't
get to relaxed
in their
Christian Faith
that will
lead Christians
into sin, such
as sexual
immorality,
eating food
sacrificed to
Idols or giving
honor to a
santa clause per
say.
c) Jesus
Christ Warns
Them
1) To
Repent -
They must get
rid of those
false doctrines
and practices of
Balak and
Nicolaitans and
be
in repentance,
in complete
sorrow and shame
for the evil
they have done
against Christ
and against the
Jews, for their
light has gone
out among the
non-christian
world since that
world has seen
the great evils
they have done
in their sight.
THEY MUST stop
being friendly
with those that
Practices Balak
and
Nicolaitan
practices, and
purge it out of
the church
including
kicking those
that are not
believers in
truth
out of the
church for the
sake of the
church, and the
true believers.
2) Jesus
Christ will
Fight them - If
they don't
repent Jesus
Christ will
bring his severe
judgment on
them, and
they will
greatly suffer
for their great
allows that they
allow and do!
SO ALL NEED TO
BEWARE, LESS
THEY TOO FEEL
THE SWORD OF
JESUS CHRIST,
HIS JUDGMENTS ON
THEM!
d) Listen
& Take Heed to
What Jesus
Christ Says
1) If
You Love Jesus
Christ - Those
who Love Jesus
Christ and fear
God with a
reverent fear
will take
to heart HIS
WARNINGS to the
Churches and
they will
examine them
selves daily to
see if they are
one of the
churches that is
in deep series
trouble with
Jesus Christ
because of
disobedience.
2) Take
Heed or Receive
Condemnation - If
They Do not take
to Heart Jesus
Christ Warnings
to the
churches then
they will only
receive his
judgments and
his
condemnations
rather than his
blessings.
3) Why
are so many
Christians Sick - Have
you ever
wondered why in
some churches
that so many
people are sick,
having family
problems, high
divorce rates
and even passing
away before
their time?
Could it be Gods
judgments on
them or is it
test and trials
to see how
faithful they
really are to
Jesus
Christ? You
decide my
friends, but God
knows the truth
on that
regardless of
what you or I
